I would like to open up an rpg on an irc network I chat alot on but honestly the only idea I could come up with is a middle earth game without fairys and elves. There would be a king, and several countries but I would love to see a plot start and work on it more and more each day. Everything from wars to marriage and advances in character status. I am still coming up with the rules for combat but I am getting there. Message below if interested in playing or helping.
if this ever became a reality, i'd love to play. games like this sound fun
What IRC network?
When I get the rooms created for IC and OOC I will post the irc network. However I must warn you while the admins on this network are very helpful they will not stand for any bull.
Combat is simple....
You must fully pose a attack or defense. You may not powerpose and there is a correct way to go about what I seek. see my examples for the wrong and right ways. (wrong way: /me attacks king stephen the great cutting off his arm and leaving him swordless.)
Below is the right way....
(right way: /me swings his mightly sword at king stephen the great attempting to cut off his arm and leave him swordless in the process.)
All combat will be monitored by rp staff and if powerposing is done a kill shall not count. The king also may only be killed or attacked in special events and these will always be noted in the topic in the room. These events will typically be battle royale events where the last man standing is the new king.
I have decided to call this roleplay kingdom and country the website is coming soon so I hope to see more interested before I post it soon!
